Why Self-Publishing?

With “C-R-RAH” being my first body of work, I wanted to be involved with the entire process. I poured a glass of wine, opened the laptop and start researching: “The Pros & Cons of Self-Publishing.” There were plenty of directions I could have gone in, but self-publishing seem to be the best route for me. After researching, I learned that publishing is not as easy as many may think.

I needed to purchase an ISBN, barcodes, copyright, domain name, find an editor, print proofs and search for a self-publishing platform. The ticket weren’t cheap. If you're looking for a cheaper route, then I suggest not doing it at all. The reward is greater than the price. I enjoyed scouting for a publishing platform and waiting for the printed proof to arrive in the mail.

Barnes & Noble Press and Draft2Digital won my vote. Compared to their competitors, they offered the best deal for royalties. The whole process didn’t take longer than two weeks. COVID-19 caused some delays, but it was easy to submit the requirements. “C-R-RAH” is listed on the Barnes & Noble website for Pre-Orders and Draft2Digital as well. Writing C-R-RAH

Writing my memoir was a lengthily process. It took many years to complete. Why did it take so long to write? I would lose drafts, my laptop was stolen, virus on the desktop, damaged composition books; the list goes on. It was important for me to finish writing C-R-RAH for various reasons. First, I wanted to free my mind. Second, I knew sharing my story could help/bless someone. Third, I wanted to publish my own body of work. Lastly, utilize the degree I earned from Kennesaw State University. I'm proud I accomplished my goal and I'm excited to share my story with readers. PRE-ORDER C-R-RAH

Fat Chronicles

I have some exciting news for my readers. Currently, I'm working on my second book. My plan is to be releasing the second book within a year or so. As I receive more details, I will share them with you. In the meantime, "C-R-RAH" is still available on Barnes & Nobles' website and a few other platforms.
