With “C-R-RAH” being my first body of work, I wanted to be involved with the entire process. I poured a glass of wine, opened the laptop and start researching: “The Pros & Cons of Self-Publishing.” There were plenty of directions I could have gone in, but self-publishing seem to be the best route for me. After researching, I learned that publishing is not as easy as many may think. I needed to purchase an ISBN, barcodes, copyright, domain name, find an editor, print proofs and search for a self-publishing platform. The ticket weren’t cheap. If you're looking for a cheaper route, then I suggest not doing it at all. The reward is greater than the price. I enjoyed scouting for a publishing platform and waiting for the printed proof to arrive in the mail. Barnes & Noble Press and Draft2Digital won my vote.
